Vintage French Round Boulangerie Board


Originally used for resting dough while rising and for sliding loaves of bread in and out of the oven, this is an authentic bakery tool used in 1940's France.

Today this board contributes to  a lovely charcuterie, cheese, or dessert display. Use as a charming centerpiece for the Thanksgiving table and carve the turkey directly on it. This board has a double cross spline (embedded strips of wood) designed to reduce warping, but ultimately contributes to the overall beauty of this vintage 1940's bread board. 

This rustic bread board was a kitchen workhorse for decades and has knife marks, a couple filled knot holes, and some rough spots. A charming leather strap allows for hanging.
