Parrot Cay

Turks & Caicos

A Caribbean paradise, this former pirate island, is a private oasis retreat 575 miles off the coast of Miami. Shimmering white sand, sparkling clear blue waters, and low key luxury define Parrot Cay. The island is a blissfully quiet retreat that even sea robbers back in the day visited for a bit of R&R.  Arriving at the marina in Turks & Caicos for the short boat ride to Parrot Cay, guests are greeted with a glass of champagne, a tiny sweet cake drenched in the local spirit of choice, and a bit of island folklore.

PIRATE KEY BANANA RUM CAKES

Legend has it that history's most famous female pirate, red headed, fiery tempered, Irish Anne Bonny, looted the Caribbean and rested on the beautiful island known today as Parrot Cay. With a reputation for drinking and swearing even better than her plundering male counterparts, she most likely would have enjoyed this traditional rum spiked cake while watching the sunset from the beach of her favorite coral reef platform and planning her next pillaging adventure.

This 1000 acre island hideaway and mile long white sandy beached exclusive resort takes pride in offering a whole-being wellness center. The pleasures of eating well, a peaceful atmosphere, and mindfulness of a belief that the body tells us what we need to be physically and spiritually grounded combine to create a luxury retreat worth considering.

Eat

The private island's cuisine draws from the Caribbean’s rich seafood larder and a commitment to fresh, local, and organic ingredients. Light Caribbean-inspired dishes including caught-that-morning fish tacos and lobster snapper ceviche and contemporary, Southeast Asian cuisine are served in the open air restaurant down by beach. Mediterranean plates and gorgeous views are served in the sun-drenched main building, high above the tree line.
