Julia's Juice

A Brazilian native brings her influence to the Weston Table test kitchen everyday. In between roasting, baking, slicing, and dicing, Julia serves up liquid concoctions that satisfy body and soul. Never measuring, she adds whatever is on hand to the mix and it always tastes as if the fruit was freshly picked from the Amazon. With a strong belief in the healing powers of juice, the simple vitamin packed nutrition Julia delivers in tall glasses is a good way to start the day or rejuvenate the mind midafternoon.

Ginger:a secret weapon

Ginger improves digestion, awakens the taste buds, delivers antibacterial properties, fights inflammation, boosts the immune system, revs the metabolism, and helps prevent blood clots in the arteries.

kitchen notes

If using a Vitamix, simply peel the oranges and toss whole into the container—the fiber from membranes adds a smoothie like consistency and is good for you. Juice may be refrigerated up to 1 day.
