19th Century French Bronze Coal Box

19th Century French Bronze Coal Box

1,250.00

A pristine decorative coal box most likely used in city apartments of the Parisienne wealthy upper class. Today a gorgeous, utilitarian statement.

Made entirely of bronze, iron and tin (rather the less expensive wood alternative), the inside has a removable bin for carrying coal back and forth from storage. Clean and wonderful for kindling, blankets, and magazines inside and a place to sit a tray of cocktails or appetizers.
