No. 9 Park

A perennial favorite since 1998, No. 9 Park remains Boston’s darling go to for a reminder of just how good Beantown cooking can be.

Chef and owner, Barbara Lynch, serves up velvety prune-stuffed gnocchi that is every bit as sassy and savory as her acclaimed Southie swearing. Rumored to have guests joining in with the profanity, “wow, this is xxxxing great!”, this foie gras butter and marcona almond studded signature plate has been served up for twenty years and remains the most requested dish on the menu. A three-time James Beard award winning chef, this self-taught hometown favorite has also been voted one of the one hundred most influential people in America.

Tucked into the bottom floor of a Beacon Hill brownstone just a few feet from Boston’s State House, this charming (read European sized) fine dining restaurant is still as hip and cool as the day it opened. The staff is fun, unfussy, and sommelier trained to suggest wine pairings with other seasonal offerings on the menu. After dinner, stroll across the street to the Boston Commons and walk off the house focaccia and extra glass of wine.
