Ingredients

  • 1 cup quinoa, rinsed & drained in cold water
  • Pinch sea salt
  • 1 pear, peeled, cored & diced
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1 tablespoon flax seeds
  • 1/4 cup sliced almonds
  • Blueberries, raspberries, or other fruit
  • MAPLE SYRUP

Directions

  1. Pour 2 cups cold water, quinoa and salt into a small pot. Bring to a boil, lower to temperature to simmer, cover pot, and cook for 15 minutes.
  2. In a small skillet, toast the almonds over medium low heat. Remove from heat and reserve.
  3. Add almond milk, chia seeds & flax seeds to the porridge.
  4. Scoop the porridge into bowls, sprinkle with almonds and fruit, and pass the maple syrup and a small of almond milk at the table.
